While the omicron variant has appeared and is progressing in Europe, and worldwide, Nepal has at last found stabilty in terms of the pandemic, but until when\u2026? At last vaccination is accessible and the number of doses sent by donor countries is constantly increasing.<\/p>\n
After 9 months of total lockdown in 2020\/21, the country finally started to let foreigners in\u00a0 last September, even if as of today there are extremely few. Remember that tourism is an essential sector for the country’s economy.<\/p>\n
Since the end of 2019, we have been unable to organise mobile camps. Nonetheless, we have been able to help financially\u00a0 the most deprived who lsot their jobs and in a precarious situation. We have also helped the Maternity Centre acquire ventilation equipment for Covid cases .They have been very useful to treat patients with respiratory problems.<\/p>\n
This autumn, we managed to organise two mobile camps; the first in the district of Bajura and the second in Phaplu Maternity Centre, which we rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. As happens each time, many patients turned up.<\/p>\n
The pandemic will certainly force us to adapt our interventions in the months and years to come. We will only be able to determine their nature at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
