NEWS FROM PHAPLU
After the inauguration of the Phaplu Maternity Centre on 14 April 2018, the team of doctors, nurses and local medical personnel gradually moved into the new hospital buildings.
For them it was a radical change compared with what they have known until now. They are delighted and enthusiastic to be able to work and organise themselves in buildings adapted to their profession, making a great leap into the future compared with the medical situation in the region. The photos they have sent bear witness to this.
Meanwhile, the regular activities of the Nepal Mountain Mobile Hospital continue and two surgery camps are planned this autumn in the North West of Nepal, one of the poorest regions in the country.
