JULY 2016 – STOP WORK
The monsoon is in full swing, and in an unusual way the rain is much heavier than normal this time round in the Solukhumbu.
Work had to stop for several weeks because of this. They should start again soon.
All the first floor columns have been erected and are ready to take the slabs for the first floor. Work should proceed faster now that we are above ground.
During my short stay (June/July) we ordered tiles, sanitary ware… In view of the quantity ordered, transport difficulties etc we needed to think about such things well in advance so as not to hold up work.
