10 DECEMBER 2015 – DEMOLITION WORKS ON THE BUILDING
Demolition works on the building began a month ago today. The building in entirely flattened.
Only the old foundations remain to be taken out.
All the stones used in the construction of the building will be removed from the site and will be recycled for use in other buildings.
Afterwards will come the picketing of the building and the laying of the foundations.
But for that too, a solution will have to be found to the economic crisis Nepal is going through at the moment (see introduction: link).
Petroleum products can only be purchased in tiny quantities or on the black market (4 dollars a litre!). At that price it is impossible to bring in materials.
