SEPTEMBER 2016 – CONSTRUCTION WORKS STARTED AGAIN
Construction works at the Maternity Centre in Phaplu started again three weeks ago, having been delayed by the monsoon.
The boxing to receive the concrete base on the first floor is finished.
The electrician is putting the wiring in.
The pouring of the concrete is planned over the next few days, but 24 hours without rain is required so as not to compromise the quality of the concrete.
After that, work on the construction of the first floor can be continued.
We remain confident that our remaining funding needs will be met to finish the construction of this building, so long awaited by the population of Solukhumbu.
